This policy describes how PDFLeo ("we", "us") handles information when you visit pdfleo.online and use its PDF utilities. Update this policy whenever the website's services, providers or data practices change.

Document handling: The browser-based tools are designed to process selected files in your browser. Do not upload confidential or highly sensitive documents unless the specific tool's behavior and any third-party processing have been clearly explained. Some features may load code or libraries from third-party providers.

1. Files and document content

For tools that run locally, the selected document is processed by your browser and is not intentionally sent to a PDFLeo-operated file-processing server. Your device and browser may hold the file or temporary processing data while the page is open. Downloaded results are saved by your browser when you choose to download them. This statement does not apply automatically to any future tool or feature that uses a server, AI provider, cloud storage, or external API; such features must be disclosed before use.

2. Information collected automatically

The website host and infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, requested page, date/time, browser or device information, and server/security logs. We do not control the host's independent logging practices; consult the relevant provider's policies for details.

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

PDFLeo should not be described as using no cookies in all circumstances: hosting, embedded services, authentication, analytics or advertising features added now or later may use cookies or similar technologies. If analytics or advertising (including Google AdSense) is enabled, this policy and any legally required consent controls must be updated before launch to identify providers, purposes and available choices.

4. Third-party services and external links

PDFLeo may load software libraries from third-party content delivery networks and may link to external websites. Those providers can receive technical request information when your browser connects to them and operate under their own privacy terms. We do not control third-party sites or services.

5. Accounts, authentication and usage records

PDFLeo includes an account interface connected to Supabase Auth. If you register or log in, Supabase may process your email address, authentication credentials, session information, security events and account-related metadata to provide authentication, account security and password recovery. Supabase operates under its own terms and privacy policy, and data may be processed in the region configured for the project. Email confirmation and password-reset delivery depend on the project SMTP configuration and must be tested; do not assume an email was delivered solely because an account record exists.

When a tool completes, the site may attempt to record the tool name in the configured Supabase tool_usage table for basic usage measurement. The site is designed not to upload selected PDF contents to a PDFLeo file-processing server. Keep database access controls and row-level security configured to prevent unauthorized access to usage records. Never place private service-role keys or passwords in public website code.

6. Retention and security

For browser-local tools, PDFLeo does not intentionally retain document contents on a PDFLeo file server. Technical logs may be retained by infrastructure providers according to their policies. No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure; use current browsers and keep backups of important files.

7. Children

PDFLeo is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed to children.

8. Your choices and rights

You may stop using the website at any time. Depending on your location and the services enabled, applicable privacy laws may provide rights to access, correct or delete personal information or object to certain processing. Contact us to make a privacy request. We will update this section if account or analytics features introduce additional choices.

9. International processing

Website hosting and third-party infrastructure may process technical data in countries other than your own, subject to the providers' arrangements and applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy when features or practices change. The date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
